We are dedicated to supporting families of children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Recognizing that families have different questions and needs, we have designed a series of web pages to provide a brief introduction to autism and to help families as they consider important choices for their children.

These pages briefly summarize some of the key issues parents may face in working to help their children with ASD. One of the aims of the Applied Developmental Core is to provide individual consultation to assist families in navigating these issues (see the Clinical and Family Services section of our website). The CSUF Center for Autism adopts an evidence-based approach to understanding autism and providing recommendations. This means that we prioritize information and services that have been supported by scientifically rigorous research. |
